    Campaign for sound quality

Hi, This link has been posted in the "Sample Libraries" section, but I thought it deserves to be seen by as many as possible. This is a non-profit group who are trying to do something about the "loudness/compression" trend in recorded music. They illustrate the problem and offer a plan, and a free download of a "Dynamic Range" meter VST to use in your system here:
    http://www.dynamicrange.de/

There is an excellent short video that depicts the "loudness" argument here:

and an also excellent wikipedia article here:

seems like an interesting idea, not sure how effective it is going to be tho, as producers will keep turning up the volume to please the mass markets, who are probably unaware of the loudness war....and dont give a hoot about it if they do!

Nice pluggin tho, shame its not out for mac until end of may!

Nice action. I wanted to sign up. Demanded a Band-name. I don't play in a band. So........ private persons can't sign up.

Hi Raymond, just sign up as a listener or musician and put anything you want to for a "band" name. Your chance to be clever. (since I'm not too clever, my band is called "none").
They will send you a link to the download. John
