Earthquake in Italy - how are our members there?

Just wanted to express concern for our forum members in Italy and offer our thoughts and prayers for their safety. I hope they and their families are safe and well. John

    hi!
i'm in italy but pretty far from the earthquake centre, so that in my city it was not felt.
but in the interested regions is nearly a catastrophe: over 230 deaths with 25.000 people without home (it will be destroyed because of seve strucutral damage), and over 100.000 evacuated...
there even was another strong earthquake about 30 min ago, 5.5 ritcher magnitude...

thanks to everyone for thinking about italy...

There were also reports of thousands of people being injured. I don't remember the number, but it was a lot.

Our thoughts and prayers for everyone in Italy and their families.

Our prayers are with all those who are suffering. May God help people who have lost loved ones to find peace and also provide a home for those who have lost theirs.

Is there any way we can donate money or something to help?

The reports are very sad and our thoughts and prayers are with the Italian people. There are still aftershocks and things remain dangerous.

I hope our Italian members are okay. Please let us know how you are doing (Francesco, Andrea, Fabio, Giorgio and other members in Italy).

Be safe and if there's anything we can do to help let us know.

I wrote to Andrea Maria Ottavini and received word back that he is OK.

We're all ok! The earthquake half-destroyed L'Aquila, but not Ascoli Piceno...not yet. Sadly, I have a friend there where the earthquake took place. A girl I knew this summer. She lost half of her home and now she had to leave the town to go to her house in Villa Rosa (a coast little town). Andrea
That's got to be frightening, Italy is one of the most active geothermal spots on Earth, and a lot of those towns have been hit repeatedly over the centuries.
I hope the earthquakes will now settle down and they can take care of the hurt and grieve for those lost. John
