Automatic way to add sustain data to piano scores?

    Hey all,

I have been searching for a way to automatically add sustain pedal midi data to piano scores, with NO success. If there was a way to add sustain on markings to the beginning of every measure and off markings at the end of every measure, that would help immensely.

Do I really have to go and add pedal markings to every measure individually? If so, I think I may shoot myself.

BTW, I don't have a midi keyboard. I use Finale and then import to Cubase.

I'm only familiar with Cakewalk SONAR, where I am sure you could do this with a CAL program.

Seems like you could go to an "Event view" in your software program and insert a number of Control 64 messages by cutting and pasting fairly quickly...

yep! if you want your data to occur at the exact same point every measure, you should be able to select and duplicate using bar/beat increments. e.g. in my host (ableton live) each automation lane is selectable separately from the note data, and can thus be duplicated without overwriting.
