    (Maybe) OT: The MADGear EP

    Hi guys,

as I told you some time before, I recently founded with 4 of my friends and my mates in our ex-choir a male vocal ensemble, the MADGear. We have two souls: the first one is the one of the pop/rock/soul music, birth by our passion for the music of our days. The second one is the one of the choral singing "a cappella" and the singing of music of authors like Martini, Palestrina, De Victoria, McNaughton and Poulenc, this one birth by our reverance for the music which formed us and because we want to be eclectic artists. Some days ago we terminated the recordings of 2 covers that are the first two tracks of "The MADGear EP". This EP (which can be freely downloaded and shared with other people) will be updated as soon as new tracks will be available. Hope you'll enjoy!

Hi Andrea, I hope the ground has stopped rolling there and you are enjoying this Easter weekend, as much as possible. The tragedy of the last week will probably be with you for a long time.

This topic would probably be best if it was posted in the general discussion area since this area is for creations that use Garritan products primarily.
I listened to both of the songs and enjoyed your renditions. It must be a lot of fun for the fellows in your group and I want to extend my support for you.
The main thing is to enjoy what you do and KEEP SINGING!

As an American with a mid-western drawl, the first thing I noticed was your accents singing the English lyrics. This may be something that is hard for you to hear objectively and my comments are only meant to help. I would encourage you to search out material that you could do in your native tongue or maybe classical pieces in Latin.

Thanks for sharing these Andrea. Again, my condolences for the tremendous losses you and your country have suffered. Best wishes, John

    John,

Thanks for your comments. We're italians, so, our english is not perfect. Anyway, next pieces we'll record are the "Two Latin Motets" by Giovanni Battista Martini, "Il pericolo è il mio mestiere" by one of our italian vocal groups, the Aram Quartet, an unedited piece I wrote for a band titled "Come un sogno", and another english piece, that is a mash up between two famous songs: "Golden Slumbers" and "The End" by The Beatles. The rendering of these next pieces (in particular "Golden Slumbers/The End"), will feature GPO. So, stay tuned. Thanks again for your comment. I really appreciated.

    Best regards,

    Andrea.

Ah, I forgot to tell: we have even a myspace (www.myspace.com/madgeargruppovocale). For anyone who enjoys our music or wants to support us, don't esitate to add us as friends on Myspace.

Aram, I'm glad you appreciated our job on Hallelujah. I think that's a great song to arrange and play and one of the most touching of the history of music. Thanks.

    Best regards,

    Andrea.
