Many thanks for the kind words, my friend. And due
credit to the G.Steinway -- it makes anyone sound good.
    Even me.

I also derived much pleasure from the "synthesized" Bach pieces on your music website.
Thanks, Larry. I wonder sometimes what The Masters
would think of our technology, today. In the case of
    J. S. Bach, it seems his music sounds great no matter
if you play it on two soup cans and a kazoo...

Thank you for posting your fine music.

    My best to you.
    All my best,

    David

    David.

Well done!!!!!! Glad to see you back and producing new works. The piano is a lovely instrument and these works fit it so nicely. I like "The Church at the River" at best of the three, very lush.

    Hi David,

Completely unexpected, and completely wonderful music. I am especially enjoying the third piece. I suppose the title may be pushing me, but I'm definitely hearing the gently disturbed surface of water alternatingly swirling and settling.

Beautiful stuff. Thanks for sharing, as always.

It's been awhile since you have graced us with your sagacity and wit which is a hallmark of your posts. I'm so thankful you're back!!

Since your purchase of your midi keyboard last year, I can tell from these little gems that you have come a long ways to regaining your former prowess of performance regarding the pianoforte. Quite lovely playing indeed! And the pieces shimmer with sensitivity and warmth. Loved all three of them!!

And such talent you have. Checked out your new baby. Your synth is another wonderful eclat to your already impressive output. Much success with this David!!

    Hi David,

These were so beautiful; I really enjoyed listening to them.

I think I enjoyed the first one most of all; It had the same peaceful vibe as some Strayhorn/Ellington piano pieces I've heard. The harmonies were just great.

The second one seemed like it could have been a theme for a 40's-50's romantic drama; it had that yearning feeling to it.

The third one sounded the most abstract to me, but beautiful nonetheless.

    Wonderful music.

    Regards,

    Frank

Thanks, my friend, for putting me in such wonderful
company. In a younger day, I played quite a lot of
Chopin -- and I'm also an admirer of Mr. Jarett.

You have done wonderful work with these pieces. They are so touching, without ever being too sentimental. They are peaceful in a way that can only be achieved by going somewhere, albeit quietly. They have direction, yet seem to have no need of hurry - that is indeed, remarkable.
I have always found great peace, and often enough
solace, in the presence of the streams and rivers and
various waters of New England. These pieces were
wrought of remembrances of deeply sorrowed moments
in my past when I sought out those waters for the
    comfort they imparted.

The sound you get from the Steinway is no less beautiful. All the way around, this is a gift. Thank you for that.

Good to see you back, and that all is well.

    Truly enjoyed this.
Thanks, Ron: it's good to be back, I've missed all
of you -- and your music.

As for the sound of that piano, well... it's a Steinway.
The only thing else that need be said is, again, my
profound thanks to Gary for making this instrument
for me. It has been both an endless joy to me; and,
too, with time, has become a dear friend.

    My best,

    David

Thanks, Steve. It actually took a good deal of
restraint to stay focused on the work I had to
get done, and not wander off to the forum. This
place is something of a second home for me... lol.

Nice update on your website too by the way.
I appreciate the good word, but to keep things
honest, I'm a lousy web designer... rofl! But hey,
you can't go wrong if you stick to black and white,
    right?
