My friend, I am very deeply appreciative of your interest in the
pieces! It would be an honor for me, indeed, to have a musician
    of your ability perform them.

I did send you a PM some time back on this; but in brief, I do not
have scores. I do, however, have .MID files -- perhaps jointly we
might be able to arrive from them at a useable score.

    It would be still a further honor for me if you would consider this;
and we might have the name of Michel Edward on the cover of
the scores as Music Editor -- though I do understand, too, if
this might be impractical in the face of what I know must already
    be a very full schedule.

Thank you, Michel. I cannot say how much your interest in
these little pieces has delighted me!

    All my best,

    David

    Hi Jack,

Thank you for listening, my friend; and one of the kindest
things you can say to a writer is that the work deserves
    revisitation.

I find it interesting, myself, as well, that these improvisations
lean so far toward the Romantic.

    Best,

With my snail's pace at writing, Ron, it's a pretty safe
bet that's not a concern... rofl!

I have listened to these many times since you posted them and as usual they are great.

But I think you are at your best (or at least they are my favorites) when you compose for full orchestra.
This year has been difficult in a number of regards; and
I've written little, orchestrally. I hope to return to the
pen much more in the latter half of the year.

Besides, full orchestral works have more material to steal than short piano works.
    Lol... aw c'mon, Ron, you say things like that all the time;
but your work is consistently original.

What I think is true, though, is that we all play off each
other -- providing food food for thought and new techniques
and even topical matter that merges together and becomes
a part of our mutual language.

And that's exactly as it should be!

    Well done

    Ron

David - your three unedited takes are fine examples of sustained keyboard improvisation, drawing their inspiration from different musical ideas.
I am wondering did you have a plan or template in mind before you started, or were these completely free fantasies, taking the inspiration of the moment? Either way what you have achieved is very impressive, and having listened a few times, I find I hear something different on each playing.
You get a fine sonority from the Authorized Steinway.

Thanks for the kind word, Eugene; pleased that
    you enjoyed them!

No no no... to me, that would be cheating. It would
not be true improvisation were there any planning or
    any forethought of any kind.

or were these completely free fantasies, taking the inspiration of the moment?
Regardless of improvisation, structurally these are not
particularly "free"; but the material, yes, that's all just
    spur of the moment.

    Eugene.
There's quite a lot of una corda in these, Eugene; hence
the gentler sound. It's a side of the big grands that you
don't hear too much of; but the G.Steinway really glows
and shines under a tender touch.

    Thanks again for listening!

    All my best,
