Re: ANDANTE CANTABILE from the JUPITOR

I only half read your title - the last half. Maybe the "o" in Jupiter jumped out. I don't know, all I do know is that I was expecting to hear Holst. It took a second for my ears to switch gears.

Once my ears did switch gears and I was back in the land of Mozart, or at least Mozart arranged for wind ensemble, I enjoyed it quite a bit. It's a very good arrangement. And, of course, you had first rate material to work from.

    Thanks for listening, Trent.
    Spelling jogged my mind, briefly....
I don't know how to change the title.

This jumps out musically as predicting ROMANTIC music in its use of themes.

Indeed, a very mellow Mozart. Nicely done.

Re: ANDANTE CANTABILE from the JUPITOR

    Thanks for listening, Tom.
I've experienced noticeable differences in peoples' interpretation when they
have a chance to make adjustments.
When color TV first arrived, the color could be adjusted to taste.
What finally came out concluded that sets with a more blue tint were adjusted by introverts & more red adjustments were extraverts.
Ask a group to taste any distinctive recipe, and there will differences
    in a description.
As we put down in writing & balance a well known piece of music, the same variance occurs.
That's part of the Human Spirit.

Really nice work on the Mozart, Gary.

And that was a very pithy remark you made about introverts and extroverts adjusting the color of their TV sets differently--interesting!

Very effective arrangement, full of organic sounding dynamic changes. Thanks, Gary.

    Thanks for listening, Randy.
Terse & full of substance & meaning.
My Wife says she's only heard Bill O'Reilly use that term.
If you think abou† all the ways each of us process meaning, it's a wonder that any communication happens.

    Thanks for listening, Brsmith.
This is actually a transcription from orchestra to winds. I only selected instruments, octaves, & dynamic variation.
Arranging Beethoven somehow seems above my pay grade.....
