    Tutorials for Cubase ??

    Hi

Would anyone know if the DAW Cubase 4 comes provided with tutorials ? eg. when launching Apples website and surfing to products one will find that under apples Macbook iLife application comes GarageBand 09 with a full tutorial on how to get started with the programme. Does Steinberg do the same for Cubase ?

They are both $499.00, so try both before you buy. Whatever you start with will very likely be what you use for the REST OF YOUR LIFE!!!!

You might even want to start with the lower version of either. Regular Cubase is $299.00 and Logic Express is $199.00. I'm not sure the difference between Cubase and Cubase Studio, but the difference between Logic Express and Pro is that Express doesn't have all the plugins, but other than that it is fully functional. Logic Pro (its actually Logic Studio now) comes with a handful of other programs also. It has Mainstage (amazing for live gigs), Soundtrack Pro, Compressor, Quicktime Pro (I believe), Apple Loops Utility, and others I think. Also, check youtube for tutorials and demos. I know Logic has amazing ones out there, and I'm assuming Cubase does also.

You should also check out Guitar Center or something like that. I went there and tried out lots of different software before making my decision. I remember that they had Cubase loaded on a computer so I was able to play with it. You can also go to an Apple store and play with Logic.

Forums are a great place to check also. The Logic forum is through the rough. ANY problems I've ever had that I posted were responded to within hours. I'm not sure of Cubase's forum, but hopefully it will be the same. You can also just check them to see if there are any tutorials listed.
