Oscar-winning actor Karl Malden had died at the age of 97.

Malden won a supporting actor Oscar in 1951 for his role as Blanche DuBois' naive suitor Mitch in "A Streetcar Named Desire"
He was nominated in 1954 for his performance as Father Corrigan, in "On the Waterfront." One of the greatest movies ever.

He has appeared in some 50 films I believe and was a superb actor.

Malden was best known to me playing Lt. Mike Stone in the 1970s television show "The Streets of San Francisco".

Thank you for your contributions to the arts Mr. Malden.

Ya done good
