Gary - any upgrade path for dialup?

It's great the new Aria version is out and about. However, it seems the only upgrade path is through hi-speed download. On a dialup connection, the data transfer would take about 50 hours !

Is it possible to get an upgrade disc by mail?

    Darwin,

Not just yet. We are not officially launched yet and we are making sure there are no major problems before committing to a replication run.

I have vivid memories of GPO1 being launched, discs manufactured and then recalling discs because of a bug with the Kontakt Player. Same happened with the initial release of the Strad. So we are not taking any chances and making sure everything is working perfectly.

So far so good, fingers crossed , so it may not be too long a wait.

In the meanwhile, maybe there is a family member close by or a friend you can visit who has broadband. And 50 hours on dial up isn't too bad... is it? Less time than the post office. And with the phone busy for 50 hours you can get some serious music written.

    Best,

    Gary

Thanks for the quick reply, Gary.

I'm happy to wait, knowing there are plans to burn discs eventually.
