    "En Una Prisa" ("In A Hurry")

    I just wrote a little Latin thing called "En Una Prisa" ("In A Hurry").

    Sample libraries involved include GPO, JABB, Sonik Synth 2 and VSL.

    Larry -

    This reminds me of my "Lounge Lizard" days as a musician playing on board cruise ships! We played LOTS of latin pieces!!!

    This latin piece as that great "Larry Flavor". It must have been fun to write and sequence! It's a very fun listen!!

    Cheers to you, Mr. Larry!

    Admittedly, I need to take the time to listen to the music found here much more often. There is so much great music found here.

    Know that I always go for that "Larry G. Alexander" composition first. I LOVE the style of music that you create. I believe that I've mentioned this before, but your mastery in counterpoint is inspiring to me. You have great compositional chops and it challenges me whenever I work to develop one of my own pieces that is in the process of being written.

    You're a good man, Mr. Larry. I own much thanks to you as I work to develop my own composing chops.

    Cheers!

    I don't believe that I have told you that I was diagnosed with diabetes a few weeks ago, Mister Ted. I have had it, unknown, for a long time and during that time period it did much damage to my heart, kidneys, eyes and vascular system. It is a devastating disease as you well know.

    Thanks for the good words concerning my moozick.

    Hey Larry;
    Maybe you'd better start going by the handle, "Mr Versatility!?!?"
    I didn't know you had it in ya lad! Real spirited and upbeat, you must admit this is a departure from what I've heard since I joined up last month!!
    In Latin musical style, the melody is sometimes kind of stretched a bit, off the beat, you hear most of the instruments do it if they take the lead. I hear you incorporating that effectively here and you show an excellent grasp of the genre!
    I am very sorry to hear of your diabetes, let's just hope the damage can be stopped and reversed, now that it has been diagnosed.
    All the best to you Larry!
