    Re: another piano to try

I tried that a little while ago and I liked it a lot, although it is/was very unfinishished. The chaps over on KVR Audio seem to have proved, though, that it's substantially *sampled* based.

There seems to be quite a few products that claim to do "physical modelling" but my gut feel is that many of them are more sampled/resynthesis based, and the two products that really matter are Pianoteq and the V-Piano. (for acoustic pianos, at least)

    another piano to try

For piano perfectionists, the best software package and plug in I have found is called "Ivory". But beware, its still pricey and demands a ton of ram.

If you're interested in sharing your development cost, let me know and we can talk more.

That is fantastic, and the last line is even better.
