Fresh Aire.. or maybe not :)

Hi everyone, as most of you know, I don't play piano. I hunt and peck, BUT.... many years ago I was listening to a record (you know those black round things that get torn up with a diamond needle) anyway, I was listening to a record by Mannheim Steamroller, and I picked out the tune because it was simple enough that I thought I could play it. In all these years it is the only piece of music I can play from beginning to end without major timing issues or flubbed notes. Notice I said major issues.

I recorded it in real time, but of course I could not play it without a few flubbed notes, so I fixed those, but this is actually me playing the Garritan Steinway using the "Under lid" perspective.

I don't know the name of the tune because I didn't feel like setting up my old Thorens turntable, but it still works like the day I bought it back in the mid 70's.

    Very nice, Mister Dan. More...more!

I don't know the name of the tune, but I like it and your performance was very good.

    Dan;
I don't know the name of that tune, not even sure if I've heard it before, but, no matter, it is haunting and lovely and you did a real nice job with it!
    The GAS sounded great to!
    Thanks for sharing!

Very nice to listen to your piano playing, Dan!

The "Under lid" perspective is the sound I like best.

    Well done!

BTW: Don`t forget to sing in our "Garritan comunity fun choir"!

    DPDAN:

A very beautiful melody played with much emotion and a
"touch of silk." It's amazing how awesome a simple melody
sounds without a great ontourage of sound accompanying it.

You did a magnificent job of making this song sound very
"real;" as though it was actually recorded "live" by a
pianist far beyond your (in your own words) ability.

    Really great, Dan.

Your "hunting and pecking" as you call it, is better than a lot of people's polished technique!

BRAVO Dan! That was sooo beautiful! I am listening again now and just taking it in! GREAT JOB!
