    Sink the Bismarck

I shrank the chase, the battle and the sinking down to 3 minutes and had it all done by Tom and Jerry, hence the cartoonish feel.

The piece is all GPO4 and was composed in Sonar 8 PE.

    Here it is

    WOW!!

Makes me want to sit down and write a movie to go with it!

Seems like the ending should have more morendo? Nevertheless, a glorious piece of music, just waiting for a good movie to use it as sound track!

Well, now - that was a great eye opener at 7 in the morning. I loved it for the mood it created - fun, descriptive, fun, technically adroit, fun - oh did I mention I loved it?

They should have played this while they were "sinking" the Bismarck.
What a wonderful piece at a bit past seven in the evening.
    Great!!!

I had to look up Morendo. You are probably right that it could use a bit more. In fact, I think that the last section would be better if it were a bit longer as well. Thanks for the wow! I think that is the best compliment we can give.

    Tom

This might be the first time you have ever commented on one of my pieces, so I take that as a great compliment. But at 7 am all I am ever looking for is a hot shower to try to wake me up.

    Raymond

7 pm is more like the time for me to be listening to music as well.

As much as the Bismarck needed to be sent to the bottom, it is a pity that she took over 2000 sailors with her. The crew fought a courageous battle and I am sure that many heros went to their deaths on that day. As a sailor myself, I find it difficult to forget that most of those sailors were just like me and were just following their orders as any good sailor does.

    Thanks guys

ROFL! This is wonderful! The three-minute epic!

Not only did you sink the Bismarck, I think you
covered the entirety of downing the HMS Hood and
three of Churchill's most vigorous diatribes.

    My best,

Wonderful cinematic piece! I like the woodwinds runs, sounds like the rough seas (making me seasick!). The ending is like a final hymn. Nice work! Thanks for comments on Three Impressions (I'm posting score today)

    LOL

I think you stated it well with 3 minute "epic".

Kind of like an 8 line Homeric Poem.

    Mike

I was going for a hymnal effect in that last little section. That was a first for me.

I did those wind runs first and laid everything else on top so I am glad they were still visible enough. I was going for a bit of a rough Atlantic ride.

    Thanks guys.
