internal PPQ resolution of Stylus RMX - MPC groove templates
I'd like to know if the internal PPQ resolution of Stylus is dependent on the host resolution or independent from the host?
If it is independent then what is its PPQ?
I am running Cubase SX 3 on XP.
I am asking because programs like Fruity loops and FXPansion GURU use internal sample-accurate PPQ resolutions which allow for much tighter drum programming.
120/240/480 PPQ is not good enough for programming grooves.
As an example, the hardware based AKAI MPC series have internal timing of 960PPQ.
Applying MPC groove templates in fxpansion GURU/Fruityloops sequencer tends to yield much better results than using MIDI based groove templates in host software such as Cubase SX.
However, perhaps the internal Time Designer module in Stylus RMX could be a work around for those looking for a tight MPC-based groove?
