Clara Schumann's piano Concerto in A Minor, Opus 7

This is a link to buy or listen to Clara Schumann's piano Concerto in A Minor, Opus 7.

The pianist, Frederick Moyer hired me and the Garritan Orchestra. Fred recorded the piano in an apartment in New York and sent me the piano audio files, I then made the Digital Performer project dance around Fred's playing.

The solo cello is beautifully played by William Rounds.

Altiverb masterfully localizes the Steinway grand piano in the center of the stage just in front of the Garritan orchestra.

Garritan Orchestral Strings were used throughout, all other instruments are from GPO.

I think you will really enjoy Fred's playing and of course the Garritan Orchestra
Tracks 4, 5 and 6 are the three movements of the Clara Concerto. The first three tracks are the Edward McDowell piece which I did not mix or master. It is a real orchestra.

    listen or buy

    Enjoy!

    Hi Dan,

I have listened to all three movements... just superb!
The technology is remarkable, of course -- but so is
the musicality and excellence of this truly outstanding
    performance.

Bravo, my friend; Bravo to both of you!

    With great admiration,

    David

US Only! Rhapsody refuses to let me hear anything. Pity. Is it going to be released somewhere else (iTunes, Amazon, ...)?

How does one go about listening to this, Mister Dan? I see no provisions for doing so. Confusing website.

    Hi Larry,

Open the site in a new window or tab. Then you just click on the blue triangle in a circle to the left of the track you want to hear. The Schumann starts at No. 4. The player is near the top of the page but it starts by clicking on the triangle left of the track number.

I have no problems playing or hearing the track.

Thanks for sharing the link on this site!

The blue triangles did not display in Windows Internet Explorer so I used another web browser and was able to make it work. Thanks.

This is called protectionism!!! Only U.S. I feel discriminated, not being able to listen to "my master's voice".
