    Exclamation Sequoia 11 / Samplitude 11

Anyone who uses one of those?

I often hear that the sound quality would be much better than in Cubase, Logic e.t.c. .

    True?

    Thanks

To me, Samplitude has smoother sounds than Cubase. I was very surprised when I compared the same wave file in Cubase and Samplitude...

Can you perhaps post a short example as wav?

It's in Greek but the files are there as well as various screenshots from general tests in various DAWS... http://www.noiz.gr/index.php?topic=167121.0
    and especially the results:

In very few words the results from all DAWS (Cubase, Amplitude, Nuendo, Sonar, Ableton, Reason (I think) and maybe others) all pretty much cancelled each other in phase reverse mode, so exporting results in the same result.

This, of course, was done with a single wav file in the DAW and realtime exporting. I have heard that where samplitude seems to be superior is with mixing more than 1 wav files and this is where the difference lies.

Maybe we could have our own test here, to end any possible dispute? I'd offer to create 10-20 wav files, send them to various people, have the render at 0 db and then... compare. Maybe it would be worth it?

Yeah, this is interesting. I also have heared that Samplitude will do it better when it comes to mix many tracks. A test as you described would be great.

I would love to take part in this little experiment. I can offer the results from Sonar 8 and Logic 9.

    Look forward to it!

I'm on Cubase 5 here so I would cover Cubase.

    Other takers perhaps?

I could do Record if you are interested, I'm using Cubase 5 and Record rewired as my setup now... Record tempo mangling of wave file is simply magic....

So who could do it in samplitude and who in DP?
