    Improvisation - Spanish style

I post this with a certain amount of trepidation, as it's not my usual style.
This is an improvisation with Authorized Steinway - so it's spur-of-the-moment stuff, with no pre-planning at all, - a once-off "inspiration" (for want of a better word!) with zero editing.
I did it last year, and came across it again recently when browsing through some files - so I decided to give it a run in the Listening Room, for better of worse, so here goes! -

".............for better or worse, so here goes", Eugene, trust me, it was for the better! A simmering sense of things Spanish, played out with a fine and tactile grace. Very nice indeed and most enjoyable!
Thanks for sharing Eugene, you may put your trepidation to rest, you have posted a lovely piece of music!
    Best regards,

Brilliant, Mister Eugene! The most talented lad on the Emerald Isle!

I could "see" the flamenco dancers and castanets and guitars and chili peppers and...

I enjoyed your improv very much. Thanks for posting it.

    Eugene,

    What a lovely improvisation!!

There are spanish motives interlaced with other styles in a very harmonious way.

You made good use of what came up, repeating the best ideas in an impressive way.

Very enjoyable indeed and I'm glad you posted it!

    Eugene

This is fantastic for a strict improv session.

I think that some of our best works are derived form improv such as this.

As was said, there is more to this than just a Spanish influence. I hear some Jazz in there, ala Gershwin and a few other styles as well.

    Nicely done

Thanks Ron for your comments. Yes there are a number of influences there, also at one point a bit of Scriabin, I think.
Fun to do, like walking a tightrope, but worth it in the end!

    Excellent job on this, Eugene!

As a partaker in the fine art of improvisation myself,
I am delighted with this... writing on-the-fly and
maintaining flow, coherency and sense is not so
easy as many think. You've created a truly
wonderful work, here... including those subtle
    excursions into Gershwinesque expressions.

    Bravo!

    All the best,

    David
