Allegro for Strings (VSL Solo and Chamber Strings)

    Hello, guys.

Please, check out my new piece for strings orchestra:

(scroll to the very bottom of the playlist)

It's recorded with the minimal number of articulations (legato, staccato and trills), but I think it sounds quite decent.

I am curious to hear your opinion about it.

    Hi,

I like the music very much. I use vsl solo myself and find that the more articulations I use the more dynamic and live it sounds. I think this makes a lot out of the three articuations, but it would sound even better with more. BTW I do not use the trill patch, but the fast legato with round robin so that even these have more life as I can vary the timings and velocities of the notes (this may be level 2 though).

I think a little more reverb and dynamic range would help as well. Good luck,

    Paul

    Thank you very much.
I used donationware impulse responses from www.rhythminmind.net plus I mixed down solo strings and chamber strings putting the former to the front and the latter to the back of the audio field.

Thanks for sharing. That library sounds pretty good, and it's good to know there's more headroom in it.

    Nice Bachian writing btw.
