Basic Garritan Steinway Download version - A new arrangement of "What Child is This"

Hi - I have finally bought the Garritan Steinway (only the basic downloaded version though) I have had it for about a month and i must say it seems to be one of the better pianos for me out there. (and this is the cheap light version) It has that nice wooden sound (as opposed to more metal) I am using some external reverb and not the reverb that comes with it.

So this is my own version or arrangement of the classic, What child is this. I like to do something different with one of my favourite carols every year. (this is only the second year so far)

Any feedback is always welcome on any aspect of the piece as I lost my objectivity long ago as this has gone from a new age type of piece to a more jazz rendering and back again. There are a few twists which may or may not work so I am looking forward to any new perspectives and first impressions.

    thanks in advance! - Del

A nice contemplative listen for a quiet Christmas Eve, Del.

Pleased to see you onboard with the Steinway. I've been
using it for quite some time; and the longer I've had it, the
more I love it. The latest (v 1.04) is absolutely golden to
    play.

Merry Christmas, Del, and all the best in the New Year.

    Hi Del,

This is such a gentle, fragile performance ... it was really beautiful. I can hear both the New Age and Jazz POV's your referring to, but both tags are just too limiting. It's simply a beautiful piano performance on a great virtual instrument. Applause to both you and the "piano".

    Regards,

    Frank

thanks for stopping by. Appreciated! I do like the low end of the Steinway which I find separates the pianos from the pianos. I am redoing most of my stuff with it.

All the best with your music in the new year. All that talent and hard work will start to pay off! Success has many faces.

Frank - Thanks so much for your kinds words - sorry for taking so long to reply - I must say that I still like the sound of the Garritan Steinway - it has that nice soft but full sound that I like in the lower end and the middle.

    Very fine, Del!

    I enjoyed listening.
