Can we load Garritan strings into a keyboard that accepts samples?

I posted this in the Samples forum, too, because I'm new here and don't know where to post.

    My question:

I'm considering buying a keyboard that will load samples--a Kurzweil PC3X, coming out in March. Can we load Garritan samples into keyboards, or only into computers?

it depends on how the samples are encoded.
If garritan provides wavsamples you should be able to load those into a hardwaredevice that is capable of playing back wavsamples. Of course you would need to do all the mapping and apply envelopes and such yourself.
If the samples are encoded in a proprietary format you would need to resample them using a software like Autosampler and still redo the mapping and envelopestuff by hand.

You also need to check the liscense agreement that comes with the Garritan stuff to see if its ok to resample the stuff and use it outside the actual plugin.

Your best bet is takin a laptop on stage and use the keyboard to trigger the stuff from inside the laptop.
