    January 2--an interesting date

    Today is a palindromic date.
    01-02-2010.
It's one of 12 such dates this century.

So if you don't know whether you are coming or going today, you have an excuse.

Ain't we a bunch though, Michel?

You're right--WHY is it that we're the only country that lists the month first? Like the rest of us here in The States, it seems logical to me - first month, second day, and the year - But it still remains odd that our system is contrary to mother England, Europe and elsewhere.

Your phrase is right - it's us and our "Funny ways" again!

    Vegemite rules.

As a software architect, you have no idea how much of a nuisance the date format is.

There are some things that mystify me about humanity - a unified date format for a universal calendar eludes us, and with two choices of the side of the road to drive on, we managed to choose both. And then there is the lack of conformity to a measurement system.

"Beam me up Scotty, there's no intelligent life down here!"

Sorry, Europeans - you know us wacky people in The States, sipping our A&W Root Beers, with our weird dating system.
