Is there any difference between the boxed version and download version?

Talking Re: New Galaxy Vintage D piano

I just wanted to say that I was on the fence about getting the Vintage D since I thought I was perfectly happy with Galaxy II. SO glad I grabbed it. VERY inspiring to play. I should mention I'm primarily a guitar player, so a piano that makes me play better than I am is what I really look for.
Is it the perfect Steinway? I don't know and I don't care. It pulls the music out of me and that's good enough for me.

If you already own Galaxy II, it's a no brainer because you also get the upgrades to those, which I'm still downloading. Must upgrade by July 1st.

    very very happy!!!

Re: New Galaxy Vintage D piano

My impressions of this sample (which I own).

Pretty darn good indeed. But as I said eleewhere at this site, the low end has a bit of nasal congestion, at least, as a recorded sound, which more or less gives it away as sampled. The "basic grand" has less of it; but it's still there. Upper end is very nice, and the recorded result WILL fool virtually everyone above middle c, more or less. A slightly more wet sound, for recording only (because it would be make the sample useless as a live instrument), might solve the bass end flangeness for recording purposes. Not noticeable, however, except on very high end speakers or monitors.

Exclamation Re: New Galaxy Vintage D piano

I love the sound of this piano but in my case is completely unusable and I find every new update even worst than its predecessor. I am still using 1.0 instead of 1.0.1 or 1.1.1 and I only get noises everywhere, even without using the the sustain pedal at all and playing only 3 notes. The new updates are even worst.

I can get tons of polyphony with other piano libraries so the problem is not my DAW. I read a lot of people have the same problems and nobody from Best Service has announced a new update.

I wonder if somebody in this forum is able to use it and the most important thing, HOW?

Thank you so much in advance.
