    Win7 64 bit i7, can't get 64 bit Steinway Basic to play more than 15 seconds

    I just did an upgrade last month. Built a new i7 950 6 gig ram SSD drive, very fast.
    I just did a project last night with Steinway 64 bit and it causes Sonar 8.5.2 to drop out every 10-20 seconds.
    Steinway V1.04 Basic Aria 1.092 (windows x64)
    Sonar is running at 0-1% CPU and disk.
    The drop out are ver prevelent on playing back a MIDI track.

    the 32 bit Basic steinway was rock soldid in my old XP system.
    I have tweaked the pre fetch and Dyn Max but they have no effect on the problem.
    Any idea what is causing this?

    Just some suggestions.

    ASIO buffer and latency setting (see SONAR Options/Audio);
    Also look at the buffering of your Audio System (audio card, e.a.);
    SONAR's own buffer setting, e.g. Playback buffer;
    64-bits engine set;
    Multiprocessor set.

    If you already tried those, I don't know.

    Hi...see if minimizing the Steinway window helps. That seemed to work for me when I upgraded to v1.04.
