Jabb3 tried out - SWING TO BOP

Here's a short track originally by Charlie Christian sometime in the 40's.
    It's all the JABB3 sounds.

    Derek:

Swingin' guitar solo. Really great lines and jazz progressions.

My sound system produced a VERY soft accompaniment to the
guitar solo, but it could be heard if I listened really hard.

Great use of JABB3. It's a great library.

I have a very limited knowledge of jazz, but this sounds pretty good, apart from a few notes that seem just a fraction off (pitch bend?). The accompaniment is too soft indeed, but very swinging. Nice.

Re: Jabb3 tried out - SWING TO BOP

Thanks guys. I was trying to get the sound like the original, it was recorded live in a bar in New York, I believe it was called Mintons sometime between 1940 and 1943, if I remember right. Only the solos were clear, everyone else in the band was very quiet. I seem to have got the effect I wanted, although it may not be what you expected. The line up was Charlie Christian guitar, Theolonius Monk piano, Dizzy Gillespie trumpet
