It's been delayed for a year, due to huge financial hardship in Russia, but finally the Stas Namin Centre is opening my show, "Dorian Gray." It's the international professional premiere.
"Dorian" in Russia
I am much relieved. It's been quite a roller coaster ride since 2008 when I worked with the company as they started work on the show. We thought they'd be opening in the first few months of 2009. Show biz!---At least they're finally opening!
Those of you who have been around long enough, and that's many of you, will recall how all through 2007 I bit-by-bit posted the entire score in our Listening Room. Then came the excitement of getting a contract with Michael Butler, the meetings in Los Angeles, the flight to Russia - it was all rushing up to - a delay.
I freely admit it's been a difficult year while they scrambled to keep up work on the show. Now finally--here we are!
