    Re: Hey!

Yes, I see they have offered upgrade to newest version at a very good price. But, I am at an end with purchasing any more software. My hardware is once again becoming obsolete quite fast with the advent of 64 bit technology taking its place in the PC world. With all the added develop improvements with sample sounds 32 bit is going to be useless. I'm using 32 bit and only 2 gigs of ram which I am told will not cut it with todays updated libraries and notational software.
So, I will stay where I am for now until the economy gets better (if at all).

I did the same until this year. I haven't upgraded software or hardware in several years. Now I am upgrading to 64bit hardware but trying to keep my 32bit programs as long as I can. Too much money going out. I empathize.
In theory there is no difference between theory and practice, but in practice there is.

    Re: Hey!

Same here. I'm still on 32-bit (P4 at that) system.

I will say in general though I can play back an entire orchestra through Finale without issues. If the polyphony is too great in some spots it will sputter slightly, but otherwise not too bad. I still think 64-bit is the way to go with multi-core processors.
