SAGE Converter: SAGE folder not found

Hello,

I have installed Stylus RMX today and it's running. I set up a different
directory for the content on my D: drive

However, I cannot start the SAGE converter. It says "SAGE folder not found".

The converter is located under

C:\Program Files\Spectrasonics\SAGE Converter\SAGE Converter.exe

(I'm using Windows 7 64 bit) and in

C:\Program Files\Spectrasonics

there is the shortcut SAGE which properly points to my
SAGE folder on Drive D:

I have found no postings regarding such a problem with the converter
only regarding the setup of Stylus RMX itself, i.e. the plugin finds
no sounds etc.

Ouch...solved it myself

Well, the installation does not install program links so one has to search
for the sage converter in the first place. I found it under

C:\Program Files\Spectrasonics\SAGE Converter\Sage Converter.exe

I looked at the programme details (right-click) and saw it was
version 1.5.1d which was the last version mentioned on the
Spectrasonics website, so I thought that must be the right version.

Another posting on this great forum let me to look under

C:\ProgramData\Spectrasonics\SAGE Converter

and there I found version 1.6 which is not mentioned on the
website (at least I haven't found it there). I guess it has been installed
with the 1.9.3f update installer of Stylus RMX.

Look in your start menu. I have a Spectraonics,Sage converter there. I also have a sage converter alias on my desktop. The installation made them, cause I didn't make them.

that's funny...

I work under Windows 7 as a normal user (for security reasons). Most setups, and so does Stylus RMX, ask for administrator permissions to proceed. Indeed the alias and the Start Menu entry are there, but for the administrator account only.

IMO the installer should ask, whether these entries should be made for everyone or only for the present user. Many installer do this.
