Thoughts in Strings form a theory 1 student

Don't you just love free stuff? Using the EWQL free orchestra strings, and loving them. Seriously, you just cant beat great sounding free strings.

Anyway, this kind of just started out as me being bored and making songs in my head to entertain my self, until I decided to try out the new strings I had just picked up. Since it seems to have some potential to be a nice larger piece, I figured it would be best to get some opinions/advice before continuing with it.

As said in the title, I'm only a theory 1 student who is just learning composition, so most of this is just a good feeling for where the music "wants' to go. If anyone here would care to give a more detailed analysis of what I did, I would love to hear it. Always nice to learn something new.

Here's a far more updated version of my pathetic attempts at this thing called music composition.

Please excuse the part at the end where it glitches and the tubas drop out and the violins get real loud.

That link goes to a SoundCloud login page.
The previous link goes to a good, but too short, piece of music.

    Gahh! I keep doing that.

I think this one should work. *sighs*

    Thought I should mention:

Strings and brass are EastWest, except for the bases.

Choir and, obviously, the bases are Garritan.

    Very nice Michael!
Expressively subtle, cinematic, and definitely worth more time and possible expansion - I would hope.

    Great Job!

    Very nice work, Michael!

    Take it further.

The one suggestion I mght make is that you learn to
"take a breath". If the train of thought is too extended,
the listener often loses his way.

    Best,
