Omnisphere skips first note in Logic playback?

    Hi

In Logic 9.11, Omnisphere (1.3.1c) does not play back the first note of a region unless there is non-zero pickup time. i.e. If the first Omni note is on the down beat of bar 2, and I start Logic playback from this point, that first note does not play. If there is any pickup time (i.e. start playback from 1.4.4.1) then the note plays correctly.
It's as if the first note is a few ticks before the beat, but is in fact quantized dead-on. (BTW there is no delay set in the region/track inspectors either)

If I move the region to any other soft synth track, or re-assign the current track to any other synth, the first note plays OK.

I've started from a fresh blank Logic song in case there was something weird in my template, but the problem persists and is 100% reproducible.

Is anyone else having this problem, or know of a solution?

    Thanks

    Steve

Exactly the same problem here (Logic 9.1.1, Mac OS X 10.6.3).

That will be fixed in the next update. In the mean time if you're using Logic, start playback from before the first note.

I suspect this is a logic 9.1.1 issue as well.

I am having similar problems with running some string samples in kontakt, if I start the part (string chords) on bar 1 I get all sorts of hanging notes and general screwiness, delay by 1ms all is ok.

same in omni..if I delay the track by -1ms all is fine.

Yup I just discovered this issue. Trilian seems to be fine on my end so far.

I got it yesterday (for the first time, i believe) on a Trilian session -

    1st gen 8 core, OS 10.6.3 Logic 9.1.1 running 64 bit. Trilian just updated to 1.3.1c . .

Slipping the first note by just one tick gets around it.

So is this actually a Spectrasonics issue or a Logic issue?

As Glenn said, we will fix it in the next update for both instruments.
