I've been gone for quite awhile, and it seems good to post a brief update.
About a year ago I was caning my way through a public transit mall (using ye olde very much needed white cane) and I failed to decipher a large concrete object, hooked my foot under the edge of it, fell over the top of it, and fractured a shoulder. That brought all activity to a halt for several months. Fortunately the break was clean, and I did not need to have surgery (I did learn that playing "kiss the concrete" is not a good sort of game to play. You think I would have known that before I played it).
Since recovering, I have at last recently had the opportunity to give one recital, one that included an original double-bass concerto (in classical period style c. 1780 or so). We will be doing another recital in a couple of months, and that will include another new work, for solo viola, solo bass, and piano, in a Celtic folk style. I have also had the opportunity to start to do a bit of composing for my local church.
Anyway, it is good to be back in the forum and posting a bit again.
