    Angry To Eric - Please Fix This

    I haven't received anything from Spectrasonics about my license transfer for almost two weeks.

    The person I sold the synth to needs to use it and he can not activate it so as it stands now he is losing money because of me. . - and your dumb policies.

    Did you need to have a freakin board meeting to decide on a license transfer or you do a full on background check a 007 style ?

    HUH?

    Tell me.

    I have opened a license transfer case on 21 of january 2010. It has been more than 4 MONTHS

    You keep ignoring 90% of my emails.

    THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE

    WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO TO GET MY LICENSE TRANSFERRED? This is out of control and I WILL NEVER BUY ANY OF YOUR PRODUCTS EVER AGAIN. I WILL ALSO LAUNCH AN ENQUIRY INTO HOW LEGAL IS THAT WHAT YOU ARE DOING.

    PLEASE REPLY TO ME ASAP I HAVE WAITED ENOUGH AND THE LICENSE NEEDS TO BE TRANSFERRED THIS WEEK.
    IF NOT I WILL REPORT THIS INCIDENT AS FRAUD TO THE APPROPRIATE PEOPLE. I AM ALSO IN THE LAST STEPS TO FINALISE THE PAPERWORK TO SUE YOU IN SMALL CLAIMS COURT IN MY LOCAL COURT. IF THE LICENSE IS NOT TRANSFERRED UNTIL THE END OF THIS WEEK THAT IS FRIDAY 28 OF MAY 2010 I WILL HAVE NO OTHER CHANCE BUT TO REQUEST THE COURTS TO RESOLVE THIS SITUATION. I WILL ALSO DO ALL THAT I CAN TO INFORM EVERY POSSIBLE NEWSPAPER, MAGAZINE OR OTHER TYPE OF MEDIA OUTLET OF WHAT IS GOING ON WITH YOUR COMPANY AND HOW A LOYAL CUSTOMER IS TREATED.

    Eric - i seriously LOVED Spectrasonics. Unfortunately this situation just proved that this company is no better than any other douchebag firm run by brainless money hungry monkeys.

    I complied with your policies. Paid the stupid money but as usual - loyal customers get hurt.

    BY MY RECOMMENDATION 5 of my friends bought a spectrasonics product.

    but hey - i guess this is the reward you get.

    Its a bit like a mafia - you have to pay to get in but you can't get out alive.

    Hmmmm... I can understand you being frustrated for sure and this is so out of character for Eric and his team that I am sure there is some reasonable response to your tirade.

    Calling Eric, his staff and his company a `douchebag firm run by brainless money hungry monkeys' is only doing a disservice to yourself as most of us have had years and years of doing business with Spectrasonics and know your personal attack is both rude, ridiculous and annoying.

    Empty threats with legal action are pointless and not appropriate for this forum.

    I have had a few communications with Spectrasonics, so have fellow musician friends of mine. In every case we were able to get someone on the phone with little or no waiting. It makes me wonder why you have had such a hard time doing the same. I have had one email communication with Spectrasonics and the reply was both timely and helpful. I cannot fathom the company being unresponsive for 4 months.

    I would not have bothered to even respond to such a post, however I am much too much of a Spectrasonics supporter to let your over the top tirade not have some kind of response from a someone not affiliated with Spectrasonics. I'm not saying there is an issue. Clearly, there is and it needs to be resolved. However, your delivery is very poor. Try to keep personal attacks out completely and threats of `legal action' in private communications.

    Hopefully you will get a resolution to your problem and you will be as enthusiastic about posting it (though rightly tempered by the slow response) as you were about the above post.

    I just call how I see it but don't you agree that waiting 4 months for something that takes max 10 minutes to do is ridiculous.

    The whole thing is to discourage second sales of their product because guess what - Spectrasonics does not make any money from the transfer.
    So they make it SUPER uncomfortable to do such a thing.

    Unfortunately because o my economical situation i had to close my studio. I am already stressed to see my dreams crash before my eyes. I also have to deal with corporate greed just because Spectrasonics doesn't already have anough money ... it's already hard as it is and this just adds insult to the whole situation.

    Funny thing is i had NO problems to transfer all other licenses I had.

    And I will post everything that happens - if the case is resolved, it is resolved. and I will have no problems to tell people about it.

    I was just tired of Spectrasonics ignoring my emails.

    BY the way - im in UK - there is no way to call them without spending loads of money.

    I saw your identical thread on KvR and replied over there in great detail. Apologies again for your difficulties. I'll be able to reply much better to the specific concerns once I know your name.

    I'm waiting to hear from you via PM there so that I know who you are.

    BTW, we are happy to call you directly in the UK...this is something we do daily with customers all over the world at our expense.

    Let's find out what the situation is directly with all the info. I'm in the dark and can't help you much without your real name and having the information in front of me in the morning on US time.

    Ah c'mon everyone; lighten up. The first post in this thread is obviously not to be taken seriously and is simply someone's idea of a joke. I'm certain no one in their right mind, who wished to receive assistance from anyone, including one of the best music software companies on the planet, would ever seriously consider posting anything like that if it wasn't meant to be humorous. Otherwise, the author could then be described a rude, ignorant, and childish and the post as perhaps somewhat libelous (thisguy, that's what adults call a "big word"....perhaps someone at home could explain it to you ), and I'm sure no adult would wish to be perceived in that manner....under any circumstances. And any adult would have better manners of course. There is a chance that the post was submitted by a member of Ms. Smith's grade 3 class...I mean all that was really left would be for the anonymous author to jump up and down, hold his breath and turn blue in the face. I guess it is possible! People posting on forums are often quite young these days. Face it, no one would ever like to be described in that manner though, so that's why it's got to be a joke.

    It's indeed unfortunate that Eric and his amazing company and customers were singled out and have to bear the brunt of this practical joke, but as always Eric has taken it all in stride, behaved in a professional and courteous manner, and I'm sure he and nearly everyone else has had the same reaction to the post. Sadly, on many other forums, the post would not have remained in place for more than 5 minutes, but obviously everyone here is more tolerant of anonymous threats, especially when they are written in jest. Unfortunately, I must admit though that I have never been a fan of practical jokes, and don't quite 'get it' myself, but then again that's just me. My one suggestion for the author is that this might have gone over better on April 1. Just a thought. Have a great day everyone.........................frank

    here is the latest mail from the OP at KVR that explains the whole thing:

    I checked my Google sent bin.

    When Spectrasonics Responded to me they included an attachment with the FAQ as a document. I opened that document with google docs. For some stupid reason GOOGLE needs to send you an email that informs you you opened a document with google docs.

    That places an email from noreply@google.com as the last email in the queue. So when you or in this case I just hit reply ....


    wait for it .... waaait .... i know you all are doing faceslaps righ now...

    it sent the email to noreply@google.com

    wait for it again ....

    and I did it 3 times..... because i just resent the same email

    jesus... i feel like such an as..le right now....

    IT TURNS OUT THAT MY TRANSFER WAS INITIATED ON 13TH OF MAY because i manually copied the text coz i was sending the message with my google phone.

    So the story goes like this ...



    So HERE IT GOES capitalised...

    I PUBLICLY APOLOGISE TO SIR ERIC PERSING FOR CALLING HIS COMPANY MONKEYS AND WHATEVER ELSE. I realise that some of my comments could have been hurtful and i sincerely apologise for that.

    In addition to that Eric HAS RESPONDED to my PM as well as I HAVE RECEIVED AN EMAIL FROM TECH SUPPORT SAYING THAT THE TRANSFER HAS BEEN APPROVED AND HAS GONE THROUGH.

    Thank you ERIC... THANK YOU GUYS FOR YOUR OPINIONS.

    Another issue solved by the mighty KVR forums... you guys are awesome...

    Wow! All's well that ends well...?
    There's really not much else to say, except I'm glad there is a positive outcome and of course the Spectraonsics team come out of this looking even better than before... didn't think it was possible ;-)
