    Gigastudio 4 crashes, causes restart

    Hi Everybody,

I realize I may be the only person still using GS4 on here. However, maybe someone can help. My GS4 machine will restart when Giga is playing back moderate to low voice counts (180 or so). GS4 performances that have worked for months sometimes randomly start doing this. It definitely seems to be linked to voices. Does anyone have any tips on this? Here are the details:

    GS4
    XP64
    8GB Ram
    RME 9652 card

    thanks!

Bit more to add, i found that from time to time a performance would screw up for no apparent reason, so from then on I have 2 folders, and automatically save all performances twice, and on occasion I have just copied the safe version over the screwed one, and all is good. having said that, when i moved to 64bit GS4 had issues with 32bit performances, so by loading all of my (80) regularly used gig files one by one into a channel and then detaching them, the performance loads, and in some cases just using a GSI by itself, loads ok and with a few small tweeks then save as a GSP file.
It appears that updating the database is not enough, and for whatever reason, the physical load changes the ballgame.
64 bit GS4 on windows 7 is now working perfectly on my home machine, and the next thing is to put Win 7 on the laptop, and just follow the same steps as before.
So i hope my fix works for you.
    cheers
