    Talking March - (Carousel)

    Hello everyone!!

I haven't been on this site in a while and i haven't posted anything for even longer!

    So here it is!!

Just a little piece written for a fair-ground Carousel

Have fun listening to this! certainly reminds me of when i was a little lad running around the fair looking for the next thrill...

Who says there music and humor can't go together? This was funny, and very accurate in style. Nice.

Just perfect Dan - I really mean that! Just what you'd expect to hear - music that goes on whether you're there or not - has the exact mix of merriment and melancholy, with the sort of carny-come on. Had me thinking about it all afternoon, maybe the nostalgic mood?
    Thanks for sharing this Dan!

Raymond- Thanks for listening! glad you enjoyed it.

Theo- Thanks for listening. I tried to keep it close to the real thing. I enjoy a large dose of humor with my music sometimes :P

Sd Cisco- Thanks for listening! Very kind comments. I enjoyed writing this piece a lot. It's nice to know it gave you something to think about. I can remember going to a lot of Carnivals/fair-grounds when i was younger and the sights and sounds of these grand Pipe Organs and carousels were tremendous. Hopefully i'll write a couple more marches now that I'm happy with my 'Carousel Organ' setup in Aria

Thanks again to all who listened.

    Hi Dan,

I just finished listening to this fun march!

It is happy, playful and really gives one the feeling of a fair and all its attractions.

I also like the sprinkling of fun-sounding instruments here and there...

    Bring us some more!

    Yudit-

    Thanks for the kind words!!

I'm working on another march but it might not turn out as well as this one.

This Aria setup is my idea of a 'small' organ but i might try out a 'larger' scale organ setup with more little twists and turns :P
