Hi - Is there an online user manual anywhere? Thanks.
Hi - Is there an online user manual anywhere? Thanks.
Hi Paresh,
What software did your GPO come with? Apparently there is a manual for the version that comes with GPO Reason (I'm told that the manual should come with the software). I'm not sure if GPO Pocket Orchestra (for Sonar) has a manual. Garritan does not make manuals specific to those distributions of GPO.
For general set up information, you can look here:
There also seem to be some tutorials form 3rd party versions listed here (they may not up tp date):
http://www.northernsounds.com/forum/....php/f-41.html
Let me know if you find what you need there. I'm not sure if the full version manuals are free to distribute, but if you can't find the needed information elsewhere I can inquire about that.
Cheers,
Tim

Tim - Thanks. It came with Tracktion 3. I'm just not getting sound to come out...none of the meters register a signal. I thought it might be something about selecting the right midi channel or configuring the output but no luck yet. Maybe it's the Kontact Player manual I need?
Hi Paresh,
I found somewhat of a setup tutorial for the Tracktion version here:
http://www.garritan.com/wiki/index.php/Tracktion_1
It looks like it does use Kontact (I assume that it comes with a version if it is the case), in which case the current GPO manuals are less relevant. However, there are a lot of old tutorials floating around for GPO with Kontact. More tutorials that may/may not be relevant are bottom of the following page under the section "Miscellaneous Tutorials".

I hope that this helps. Otherwise, you might want to consult a manual for Kontact.

Thanks Tim!!!
Hi Paresh, if you still have problems, contact me in a PM, I'll talk you through things. I've been using Tracktion for a long time.

Thanks Jerry. I like T3 for some features but I don't know how you can use it as yr main workstation because of the 'poof" crash. I quit following the forum a long time ago when I saw that wasn't getting resolved.
I have the mac version - remind me - what are you doing in T3 right before that poof crash happens? I know the PC and Mac versions each have their own problems - and won't be getting fixed because Tracktion is no longer being developed by Mackie.
I don't use Tracktion as my main DAW much anymore. I loved v. 1! I liked its MIDI editing better than T2 or T3. Also - I loved T because it was so nice on my very limited hardware. (until recently, I've been on the very low end of "minimum requirements" for GPO and just about any other library and DAW software out there).
Let me know if you need any help.
