    Re: Symphobia 2 is comming

Yes...I noticed that little glitch in the Pipes patch the first day I worked with Symphobia 2, but for me it is indeed a very minor issue, and certainly doesn't detract from the whole package. Seems that sometimes when a couple of notes are played legato style, one note will stick for awhile, but then release. It's not happening here "all the time", but it does indeed occur. Perhaps it's a little problem with the scripting or something, but I figured ProjectSam would indeed correct it at some point. Fortunately I don't need that patch right now anyway. Cheers!

    I agree with you!

    Re: Symphobia 2 is comming

After spending several days with Symphobia 2 I would definitely say it's a new product, not an update. Someone asked earlier which version to buy if they can only afford one. The two Symphobias are in the same genre, but they are far from the same library. I really couldn't answer the question because the libraries are so differentiated, I wouldn't want to get by without either one.

If you explore the depth of Symphobia 2 you'll understand how expensive it must have been to produce. Ensembles meticulously recorded with round robins, releases, and real legato transitions must be a nightmare to produce due to multiple players playing together in real time, note by note. The effects are all orchestrated, sometimes across a full orchestra. The attention to detail is incredible IMO. The Horns and Trombone legato patch is almost worth the price of admission, definitely goose-bump material.

Working with real musicians and full orchestras is always going to be a pricey proposition. Spectrasonics continually upgrades the content of Omnisphere which is fantastic. But their costs are mostly centered on working with a large archive of previous libraries that have already paid for themselves, and programming new synth sounds. If they needed to hire an orchestra and rent a hall every time they created new content I'm sure the updates wouldn't be free.

Project Sam did offer a $150 discount for Symphobia 2 early on which I think was generous enough.

I can't help but feel that most people would not dispute most of what you wrote. Even those of us who owned S1 and were disappointed there was little in the way of an incentive to buy S2, never questioned the quality of S2 or the amount amount of time and money it took to produce it. So IMHO that's a 'given'. Where we do get into a 'grey area' is when the subject arises of whether or not S2 is a completely new product.

Some would argue that it is indeed a new product while others might feel that instead it's an extension of S1, and the two are definitely linked. True Strike and S2 are separate products, but some may feel S1 and S2 are not. For example WaveLab 7 has just come out, the Mac version is a brand new product and the Windows version has been almost completely rewritten, yet there was an upgrade path between, for example, WL6 for Windows and WL7 for the Mac (or the PC).

In any case ProjectSam are free to do what they want, and the buyer can either buy or not. Fortunately many of us were able to take advantage of the 'order in advance' offer and save a few dollars at that time. Whether or not that was enough incentive for some, may still be debated, and viewpoints will vary. It's to be expected..................frank

"Stop paying for the games you are playing"

"If you are paying for the games you play on your xbox right now, I wanted to tell you to stop that".
"How To Download and Copy xbox 360 games - Burn Games In Minutes!"

Are you are running a warez site, or something similiar? Dude, you are in the wrong place for that - might I suggest you find some other place to promote yourself?

    Best.
Re: "....Symphobia 2 include all the material from symphobia ?"

No, it does not. As mentioned above, it is considered to be a new unique product.

Doremon12, didn't Tarkio just answer that question sufficiently?
