    Hi Antony.
    Interesing output.
    Your brass writing is excellent.
Where all this will lead in the next movements?
    Congratulations.

Re: My First Symphony. First Movement

Interesting mode of composition, struck me as a series of vignettes strung together, slowly advancing the thematic material. Towards the end particularly , the theme reminded me of the music for a tv show that was aired in the mid-50's, (yep!) called Victory at Sea. All about WW2 naval battles. There may be others in the Forum from the same demographic who may recall the show and it's music. Anyway, no-matter, this is a gentle and well thought-out bit of writing on your part - off to a great start!!
Welcome to the Forum - keep posting, I will listen!!

    Best regards,
    sd cisco
