    Re: The Story of Ruth

    I'm listening to part 1.
    Beautiful.
It's worth to dust off the Bible from the shelf to read from where this all comes from.
    Bravo.

A very nice work, Antony - a labor of love, with some lovely themes!
I like music about the human spirit. and I, too, am impressed by Jewish history.
I wrote a tribute called "Survival: the History of the Jews."

Hi Jeff, Thank you very much indeed for your kind comments !! They are greatly appreciated.
I have had the pleasure of listening to your "Survival" and thought that you had caught the mood of each "chapter". My wife and I also thoroughly enjoyed "PANDA"!
Here is a little piece, I wrote for guitar, about a year ago. (More "Survival" than "Panda" !)

    Re: The Story of Ruth

Parts of this I really like. Has somewhat of a renaissance sound witch I'm a sucker for.
Loved the harp at the end too. I can't recall the story of ruth I'll have have to read it.

    Thanks for sharing.

Thanks very much indeed for your feedback. I regard my sound as (hopefully) similar to the european composers of the late 1800s. I use the GPO harp 2 in many of my compositions and, yes, you should look up "RUTH". Its quite a short , but very moving, story. Old testament>end of JUDGES > The Story of Ruth. Thanks again, Antony

    Antony,

Wow, what a grand opening! - epic in nature.
This is really very, very good to say the least.
Strong thematic material well crafted and developed.
Nice romantic coloring - has a early Hollywood type sound.

    This should be performed live...

    Awesome!
