To all who have wasted their time trying to follow the faulty links to this piece, I apologize.
Written for String Quartet, this piece celebrates Bobby; a Skye terrier who lived in Edinburgh, Scotland in the middle of the nineteenth century. His story is unique in that after his master’s death, he spent the remaining 14 years of his life sleeping on or near the man’s grave. How’s that for canine loyalty!
The file was rendered using four solo strings from GPO.
Very nice, Sean! There were a lot of dynamics in the piece and it all kept apace. We had a little grey terrier mix dog once, his real name was Shorty, but I liked to call him "GreyFriars Bobby, as a longer nickname. He lived to quite a good age.
Thanks for the working link and thanks for posting!
