I wasn't going to post this here because it didn't have anything "Garritan" in it, but checking the MIDI charts it DOES (kinda). The bass is from Cakewalk Dimension LE which also features the Garritan Pocket Orchestra which isn't used here, but does that qualify?
I don't know. Admin can delete it if they choose, but I thought you might enjoy it. So, just for the heck of it, here's
Nicely done, John, I enjoyed this -- well made, to-the-point, solid work.
On the matter of Garritan, well, yes, this is the Garritan forum... lol.
Perhaps we might redeem you on this one by coaxing you into trying
some Garritan instruments in lead positions... in mind's ear, I could easily
hear some great Jazz/Rock flute lines in this, for instance.
When you've got a strong undercarriage like this writing to work with,
there are a lot of possibilities.
Thanks so much for the kind words, Dave.
I wrote this back last May. It's kinda hard for me to re make something once it's finished. I just can't imagine it any other way. The lead instrument in this tune is actually a free VSTI called a "Dizi flute", which is a Chinese flute. It's one of my favorite freebies and I've played with it in a few of my tunes. http://www.kvraudio.com/get/1811.html
I was hoping the bass would qualify it as a Garritan project. If it's any compensation, I'm working on a new instrumental piece with JABB. Hoping to finish it soon. This will pretty much be all Garritan.
