    Re: BEST Tutorials Ever Contest

How about someone doing a tutorial on how best to do mastering for beginners using Sonar Home Studio or Sonar 8.5 or Pro Tools? I know that would probably take someone from now until the deadline in December, but it sure would be a big help to those of us starting to learn how to use DAWs effectively. After hearing what DPDan did with my Christmas submissions, that would be so incredibly helpful! I'm thinking beyond, for example, setting up Aria to work with Reaper. I want to learn how to make the piece I'm working on in Finale really sound great if I'm using Sonar or Pro Tools. That would be so fantastic! I can't wait for these tutorials to be posted!

We are in agreement on this. Finale was calling it "Glass Harmonica" (which is a valid variation of the instrument name, but I prefer "Armonica").

Ah! I had that backwards, obviously. Thanks for the post, Lunker.

Here are some of the older tutorials (many based on Kontakt 1) to give you some ideas.

I have received requests asking if we could extend the deadline due to the holidays, off school, more time needed, etc.

Would that be okay with everyone here?

    Let me know

I'm unsure if I'll be able to do this, due to needing to spend a lot of time getting ready for auditions to get into colleges this February (yikes!), but a time extension would definitely make it more likely that I could join in.

How long do you think would be best?

Why don't we extend this another month until February 21st?

And let's up the ante too - everyone who submits a tutorial gets a library and there will be a grand prize of $1,000 and two two runner up prizes of $500 each.

Let's get some great tutorials produced.

    Thanks

    Gary
