    Village Dance (GWI recorders)

This demo uses all six recorders (from piccolo to bass) found in World Instruments. It is my rendition of the first "Bransle des Villages" from Michael Praetorius' "Terpsichcore," a massive collection of French Renaissance court dances.

    Hello Dan,

That's a sweet demo of the recorders!
I shall have to try those out in one of my next projects.

I'm also glad to get to know the first Bransle of this collection.
I like dances in general and those of bygone days have a special charm,
so I'm definitely going to look up Praetorius' 'Bransle des Villages'.

    Thanks for sharing,

    ~Yudit~

    Dan,

Don't hear too much Praetorius 'round these parts! The recorder set works really well - nice choice to for this music. I know it is written for broken consort, so perhaps some other dances with dombeks, tars, and mbiras?

    Thanks for posting this!
