Smile Lancelot & Guinevere. A Love Story

To date, except for 'the Story of RUTH' I have offered threads that have no particular storyline, such as Symphony No1, the Violin Concerto No1 or Essay for Strings.

Over the next weeks, I will be offering my musical version of that most famous, medieval, Legend, the Love Story between the French knight, Sir Lancelot Du Lac, and the English Queen Guinevere, wife to King Arthur of Camelot.
    EPISODE 1
The first episode is divided into 9 short scenes -

Lancelot remembers his overwhelming love for Guinevere and he recalls how it began, many years ago....

Niniane, the Lady of the Lake, the enchantress and his guardian from early childhood

    Lancelot, the youth

Niniane, Lancelot, and a large retinue, approach the city of Camelot

    Guinevere

Lancelot loved Guinevere from the first moment he beheld her

Lancelot, at Niniane's bequest, will be made Knight the next morning. Lancelot spends the night in prayer and fasting. King Arthur makes Lancelot a Knight

Sir Lancelot asks that Guinevere appoints him her champion. He then rides off to face his first adventure

    Very nice.
I would like more timbral variation in woodwinds, but the tunes are good.

I hope that you will enjoy the remainder of the story and will find the woodwinds' timbre more to your liking.

It is always good to hear from you, thank you for your comments. Antony B.

    I'm doing it.
Loved the long string finale of scene 17 (if I'm right):
Perform it a little bit slower and a little bit quietly and you will have the perfect Mahler symphonic fade-out!

    Hey, I remember this one!
Very nice - really enjoyed the brass and wind chords, colors, and progressions toward the end...
