    Merry Christmas from the Garritans

    To All Our Wonderful Friends,

Wishing all of you, your family and your friends, a very Merry Christmas.

Thank you for all of your support for Marianne and I during the difficult past year. Again we are abundantly blessed with the best gift of all - the gift of friends. I appreciate each and every one of you for your goodness and kindness.

May the upcoming New Year be the best year for all of you.

Merry Christmas, Peace on Earth, and Goodwill to All!

In theory there is no difference between theory and practice, but in practice there is.

A very Merry Christmas to you and Marianne, from the Bowser/Daly household. Though we haven't made up to Washington to see you (we don't get out much!) we consider you very special friends, and you're both in our thoughts daily.

Here's to a fantastic 2011 for the Garritan household, for Garritan Inc., and for all the members of this one-of-a-kind community gathered here at the Forum you so generously provide.

    Merry Christmas Gary and Marianne!

I'm sitting at my computer on Christmas Eve this year as my wife had to work tonight. The kids and I will be watching Christmas Vacation in a little bit to get into the Christmas spirit.

Merry Christmas Gary and Marianne! All the best!

And merry Christmas to everyone in this forum. I'd rather not start a new thread about this, but my wishes are with all of you!

Re: Merry Christmas from the Garritans

Well, I add my good wishes and felicitations to all.

However, my contrarian nature compels me to quote Luke, 2:14--

    from memory, the Latin Vulgate:

et in terra pax HOMINIBUS BONAE VOLUNTATIS.

from my German NT, on my desk:

und auf Erden Friede den menschen die guten Willens sind.

English, Confraternity Edition , from memory, a direct translation of the Vulgate--

and on earth peace to men of good will.

RSV is buried somewhere in this book repository I call home, and I don't remember how it is handled there, but I think similarly.

I am expecting a shower of something or other as I leave the room and comfort my Maine Coon Cat who has had unpleasant (and expensive) medical treatment twice this week.

    Richard
