Topic: Is my Sound Card compatible?

Question Is my Sound Card compatible?

    Hi:
My sound card is an on board sound card and I wonder if it is compatible? It is EAX/Direct Sound 3D/I3DL2/A3D compatible. It has support for 16/20/24-bit S/PDIF input and output. Is that sufficient for the personal orchestra 4.0?
    Thanks,
    Martin

I am by no means a sound card expert, but it appears (at least to me) that your card is a cut or two above the average onboard card. That being the case, I would say that what you have should be fine for GPO 4. The only thing is that ASIO is highly recommended, and I didn't see anything indicating that your onboard sound card supports it. There is, however, a third-party driver called ASIO4ALL that is designed to work with most non-ASIO cards. You can download the latest version (2.10) here:

I have a Turtle Beach Montego DDL, and ASIO4ALL works fine for me. As to your card, you'll have to try it for yourself and see.

    Hope this helps.
