Cool Welcome to the Lyrical Distortion Forum

Welcome to the Lyrical Distortion Forum!

It's brings me great pleasure to kick off the new year, by welcoming everyone at Northern Sounds to the Lyrical Distortion section.
We go way back with this place, I personally have been here since 2000

We have some great stuff coming out this year.
I'll be posting a preview of our soon to be released "Silverburst" Les Paul Custom library.
I'll also throw up some update links

In celebration of launching this forum at Northern Sounds, We've extended our Year End Sale another week.

Hope everyone has a great new year!!!
(there are some bowl games that are calling me)

Thumbs up Re: Welcome to the Lyrical Distortion Forum

I bought some LD Direct guitars this last year and combined them with GuitarRig 3/4 and other VST's and got some great results. If you want to do some virtual guitars (and u r no good with real ones), LD is a great place to start. It should be intersing to see what LD comes up with.

    Hi,

I was looking at your website and listening to demos.

I am wondering what the difference is between the LDi Lead and the LDi Select.

Also, there is no mention of the articulations for the LDi Select.
Are they the same as the ones for the LDi Lead?

    Does the Mandolin have tremolos?
I didn't hear any in the demo tunes.

    Hi P.T.,

LDi Lead is from Lyrical Direct, features more articulations and is just the bridge pickup

    Picked dn/up (4 each)
    Palm Picked dn/up (4 each)
    Hammer Ons
    Pull Offs
    Palm Hammer Ons
    Palm Pull Offs
    Vibrato
    Heavy Vibrato
    Pinch Harmonic
    Pinch Harmonic Vibrato
    Palm Staccatos
    Assorted FX
    Finger Noise Release

LDi Select is not from Lyrical Direct (but the same guitar), has less articulations, but has all 5 pick up selects

LDi Select presents single notes with 5 pick up select instruments:

    bridge pickup
neck + bridge outside coils (parallel)
neck + bridge inside coils (series)
neck + bridge inside coils (parallel)
    neck pickup

The Mandolin has no tremolo, but has 4 down picking RR and 4 up picking RR that alternate. The mandolin also has cross-picking.

    Take Care,
    Steph
