    Cloudy

This is a cleaned up improvisation done with the Garritan Standard Steinway and a pad from IK Sonik Synth.

Very nice, Mister Phil. Background pad could have been a tad louder, I think.

You are using the Garritan Steinway. How do you like it?

Thanks for posting your music. It was enjoyable.

My best to you for a super 2011!

    Hi Phil,

It’s good to see you posting here again!

Your improvisation is really a lovely one and I enjoyed hearing it.

Your playing is delicate and dreamy as some clouds are,
and one can hear how they come and go, light and airy,
or heavier with the promise of rain.

Thanks for posting and I shall look forward to hearing your next piece!

    Absolutely lovely, Phil.

I thoroughly enjoyed this. Several times, in fact.

I do hope you'll bring us more of these improvisations!

    All the best,

    Phil,

Got to say, had a long day, and this piece was the perfect response. It is absolutely beautiful, and with enough little harmonic surprises to keep the ear afloat.

    Thanks for posting this.

On my way for another listen.

    All the best,

    Larry

I'm happy you enjoyed it and posted a comment.

I did have the pad louder at first but it kind of over whelmed the piano and it seemed a little too spacey so I pulled it back for just a faint effect.

I like the Garritan Steinway for it's authentic reproduction. I couldn't get much sound out of it until I learned to crank up the tone knobs in the space menu. For playing I think I prefer Art Vista's VGP but that can depend on the music. I have the Standard which is no longer available and I don't know what the difference would be with the Basic download.

    Have a great 2011 also.

    Hello Yudit

Thanks for the friendly face. It's been a few years but I wasn't in a creative mood I guess. I've been living with my elderly mother who has brain damage and senility. It hasn't been easy but soon I'll be moving back to my house. She is a control freak and is also obsessive- compulsive. She makes a lot of noise at night and stays up very late.

I feel like I'm getting out of an asylum.

I did this a while ago but I remember I was pretty laid back and just let the notes come out with out much physical effort.

I do have another piece in the can so stay tuned.
