    Milton Babbitt

    The American composer Milton Babbitt died yesterday at the age of 94.
    He was the father of the electronic synthesizer, composing either electronic music, or music with traditional instruments, and often combining the two.

    On Facebook I linked to an interesting video where someone took his piano piece "Semi-Simple Variations" and reimagined it as a jazz piano trio, then did a video of it with dancers. It worked surprisingly well!
