    Internet Explorer blocked this site....

I fire up the ol' Garritan Forum this morning and am greeted with a new yellow information bar at the top of my page which states "To help protect your security, Internet Explorer blocked this site from downloading files to your computer. Click here for options..."

I am familiar with this bar and how it works but it has never been on the Garritan site, in my browser, before.

There is no additional info as to what the site wants to download to my computer. Is this new to anyone else? Any ideas as to what it wants to download?

    Thanks.

It could be that someone has infected the NorthernSounds site with one of the latest attacks aimed at Internet Explorer, for which Micro$oft is releasing a "critical" update next Tuesday. It is only one of 22 severe flaws Micro$oft will be patching next Tuesday in about 12 different patches for Windows, Internet Explorer, and Micro$oft Office. Your browser may have been doing you a favor.

If it works, here is a link to a story about it on ZDNET:

If that link doesn't work, please do a search on the ZDNET site if you would like more information.

Yep, I'm pretty sure the browser was protecting me. I'm not getting the yellow bar anymore so I suppose somebody at NS caught it.
