OT Playing a live gig tonite

Wish me luck chaps, I'm playing in a band for a paying audience for the first time since 1966.
    Nervous is an understatement.

Wow--now this is Quite an event, Derek. What a super thing for you, what a thrill. - You know what the deal is with nerves before going on stage?--They're reminding us that we're excited - and to be excited about performing is a Good thing.

    Knock 'em dead!

Good job, Derek! Let us know how it goes.
In theory there is no difference between theory and practice, but in practice there is.

Quite a result. I know that some people there knew some of us but we got a rousing welcome and had a very good time. We have a saxophone player who is so vivacious and funny that she woul get any gathering going, she can really play as well. I enjoyed it immensely. It will probably put up on youtube soon so you can see us making eejits of ourselves.

Today I ache all over, in places I forgot I'd got as well.

Congrats! The pain lets you know you're alive!

    What did you play...guitar, bass...etc?

For this group I play the bass. Although I normally play guitar, we have drums, bass (me), synth, piano, 2 altos, tenor, trumpet and trombone with three singers, currently with a guest guitarist, he's 46 years younger than me
